Reports indicate that former Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Maharazu Tsiga (retd.), was kidnapped by bandits in Tsiga village, located in Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State, during the early hours of Thursday.
In addition to Tsiga, the bandits also murdered one individual and abducted at least nine others. They are believed to have raided multiple homes, stealing valuables in the process.
The attack occurred at around 12:30 AM, with witnesses stating that the armed assailants arrived in the community, firing shots indiscriminately to intimidate residents.
Our correspondent reached out to the Katsina State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abubakar Sadiq, for confirmation, but he replied via SMS stating, “I can’t talk now.”
