Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has stated that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is centered on improving the lives of Nigerians, not on party affiliation.
Wike made this remark while inaugurating the five-kilometre dualised Kuje township road, from Tipper Garage Junction to LEA Secretariat, in Kuje Area Council, Abuja.
He highlighted that the administration is delivering key projects across Abuja’s six area councils, fulfilling Tinubu’s pre-election promise.
“You’ve kept your part by voting for him, and now President Tinubu is keeping his promise to provide infrastructure,” Wike said. “We may not be where we want to be, but we’re making progress.”
Wike expressed his joy over the community’s response to the new development, emphasizing that the goal of governance is to bring happiness to the people.
“If you’re happy, we’re happy. If you’re not, we can’t be,” he added.
He also commended Tinubu’s government for being one that listens to its people, ensuring that residents have a say in the projects they need.
“The renewed hope agenda is real. With your continued support, more projects will come to Kuje,” Wike assured.
He noted that the Kuje township road project was initiated after a request from the Gomo of Kuje, Jibrin Tanko, and mentioned that the Airport Road project is also under consideration.
The Kuje township road was originally awarded to Arab Contractors at over N59 billion by the previous administration.
