The Enugu State Government has formed a strategic partnership with Landmark Group to restore Nike Lake Resort Hotel, aiming to transform it into a major tourism and investment hub in the state.
The agreement was signed by the Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Mrs. Adaora Chukwu, and Landmark Group CEO, Mr. Paul Onwuanibe, at a ceremony in Enugu. This initiative is expected to boost the local economy and attract around 3 million visitors annually.
Governor Peter Mbah, who attended the signing, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to making Enugu a global investment and tourism destination. He stressed the importance of revitalizing Nike Lake Resort as a key asset and emphasized the need for efficient management.
“Nike Lake Resort is more than a hotel; it symbolizes Enugu’s hospitality and tourism potential. This partnership reflects our vision to foster investment, create jobs, and promote economic growth,” Governor Mbah said.
Mr. Paul Onwuanibe expressed gratitude for the opportunity to manage the hotel and promised world-class services. He highlighted the potential of the resort to become a major tourism hub, creating jobs for the youth and revitalizing Enugu’s tourism sector.
The Nike Lake Resort revitalization is part of Governor Mbah’s broader strategy to position Enugu as a top destination for both domestic and international visitors while boosting the state’s economic growth.
