Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State has confidently stated that he will triumph in the ongoing political standoff with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
In a statement issued on Sunday, December 29, through his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Fubara attributed his anticipated victory to the unwavering support of the people of Rivers State.
Fubara remarked: “It’s not just about my desire to win; I draw strength every day from the incredible support I receive from the true people of Rivers. Your encouragement fuels my determination.”
He continued: “This isn’t just about me being strong. My strength comes from each one of you who stands by me, makes the calls, and does the work. How could I not rise to defend and represent you?”
The governor emphasized his belief in divine intervention, adding: “We firmly trust that the ultimate game changer, liberator, and fighter remains God Almighty. With Him on our side, victory is not just possible—it is assured.”
Fubara’s statement highlights his reliance on both the backing of Rivers citizens and his faith in God as he navigates the political tension.
