A mentally unstable woman has given birth to twins along the Gboko-Katsina/Ala road in Ipav Mbaikpur, Gboko Local Government Area, Benue State, on Monday, December 30, 2024.
According to Terkimbi Aerga Terhile, the woman, who appeared disoriented, delivered the babies on the roadside. After giving birth, it was reported that the woman threw one of the newborns onto the road, before passersby quickly intervened and rescued the child.
The mother and her babies were later taken to a nearby hospital for immediate medical attention and care. Authorities are investigating the situation, and efforts are being made to provide support for the woman and her children.
