Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the immediate dissolution of all Commissions within the Edo State Public Service.
The announcement of this major decision was made through a statement issued on Tuesday morning and signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Umar Musa Ikhilor.
The affected Commissions include the Edo State Independent Electoral Commission, the Civil Service Commission, the Edo State Oil and Gas Producing Areas Development Commission, the Edo State Forestry Commission, the House of Assembly Service Commission, the State Audit Service Commission, and the Judicial Service Commission.
The statement further instructed all Chairmen and members of these Commissions to immediately hand over any government property in their possession to the most senior public officer within their respective Commissions. This move marks a significant shift in the state’s public service structure.
