A woman has made a shocking claim on X, alleging that the Gbagada General Hospital swapped her sister’s newborn baby with a deceased infant. To support her accusation, she shared a photo of the baby.
The woman, using the handle @Aggie_lawlaah, recounted the distressing events that began on December 1 when her sister went into labor. Two days later, after being induced, she gave birth. However, the newborn struggled to breathe and was immediately taken to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
That evening, the father was called to the hospital to sign a test form for the baby, but upon reviewing it, he noticed the name on the form was not their child’s, raising his suspicions.
On December 5, they were informed that their baby had tragically passed away and were handed a note that bore no name. When they arrived at the morgue to collect the body, they were shocked to find that the label on the deceased baby read “Adefisan baby,” while their own child’s name was Okolie.
Now, the woman is urging the authorities to investigate this disturbing incident, expressing her sister’s deep trauma, as this was her first child.`
