The four siblings who were kidnapped in Kaduna State have been released and are now safe.
While full details are still emerging, it has been reported that the children were rescued by security forces on Monday, December 2, 2024.
The rescued children were handed over to Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, by the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu.
According to reports, the four children, including a toddler, were taken from their home in Keke A, Chikun Local Government Area, last Tuesday night.
At the time, their father, Adamu Yunusa, had gone to visit his wife, Aisha Kabir, who was caring for their sick twins at a nearby hospital.
The kidnappers later reached out to Yunusa, demanding a ransom of N300 million and threatening to kill the children if he didn’t comply. They eventually reduced the amount to N25 million, which the father said he could not afford.
