The Middle-Belt Forum has praised Seyi Tinubu’s leadership qualities, highlighting his inclusive and empowering approach, which mirrors that of his father, President Bola Tinubu. In a statement, the forum emphasized that Seyi’s efforts to unite various tribes and religions in Lagos position him well to govern the state, known for its diversity.
“Only a truly inclusive person like Seyi Tinubu can successfully lead Lagos, a melting pot of different ethnicities and faiths,” the group stated.
The forum added, “Who else in Lagos can gain the people’s support if Seyi runs for governor? He is free from tribal, religious, and gender biases, believing in all people equally. As Middle-Belt residents, we often face challenges in diverse states like Lagos, but with Seyi at the helm, our interests will be safeguarded.”
On Seyi Tinubu’s unique qualities, the group noted, “We’ve assessed many children of prominent figures in Nigeria. While many are distant and disconnected from the people, Seyi is different. His deep connections with all tribes make him one of the most unprejudiced young leaders in the country. He will address tribal tensions in Lagos, and his marriage to a South Eastern woman is an added strength.”
The forum also praised Seyi’s quick response to the Borno floods, where he mobilized support and made significant donations, a rare act among the children of public figures.
“Seyi’s office is open to all tribes and religions, with people from every background working with him,” the statement continued.
The Middle-Belt Youths in Lagos received approval from the national body to endorse Seyi Tinubu after evaluating his efforts toward national unity and youth empowerment.
“We have seen his dedication to empowering youths from all backgrounds over the past year, embodying what modern leadership is about. We now call on Seyi Tinubu to prepare for leadership in 2027—it’s his time!”
