PRESIDENT-ELECT DONALD TRUMP DECLARES WAR ON ANTISEMITISM:
“End antisemitism or face the consequences,” President-elect Donald Trump warned U.S. universities during a rally in Washington, vowing that colleges allowing antisemitic behavior would lose their accreditation.
Trump emphasized that to “combat antisemitism and protect Jewish Americans,” he would personally notify college leaders that if antisemitic propaganda continues on their campuses, they would risk losing both their accreditation and federal funding.
“We will not fund institutions that foster terrorism sympathizers or enable hatred,” he said. “That won’t happen in America.”
The incoming president also made it clear that once he takes office, he will hold educational institutions accountable for any violence or harassment against Jewish students, asserting that they would face legal consequences under civil rights law.
“Jewish Americans deserve equal protection under the law, and they will get it,” Trump stated. “My administration will act quickly to restore safety and security for Jewish communities, both on campus and in our streets.”
