Benin Republic’s head coach, Gernot Rohr, has named a 24-man squad for his team’s upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Nigeria and Libya.
Rohr has called up a mix of familiar faces, with many of the players who featured in previous qualifiers making the list for next week’s games. Key players include goalkeeper Saturnin Allagbe, Olivier Verdon, and Junior Olaitan, alongside top stars such as captain Steve Mounie, Jodel Dossou, and Aiyegun Tosin.
The Cheetahs will face Nigeria’s Super Eagles at the Felix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan on Thursday, November 14. Afterward, they will conclude their qualifying campaign with an away match against Libya on November 18.
Currently, Benin Republic is in second place in Group D with six points from four matches.
