On Wednesday, 39 minors from Kaduna State, who had been detained by the Federal Government following their participation in the August nationwide protests, were reunited with their families.
As part of the reunion, the Kaduna State government presented each child with N100,000 and an Itel A18s smartphone.
Governor Uba Sani expressed his commitment to supporting the children’s reintegration into society, emphasizing rehabilitation programs and opportunities for them to become responsible citizens.
Dr. Abdulkadir Muazu Meyere, Secretary to the Kaduna State Government, shared this update on behalf of the governor. He explained that the state government plans to provide start-up capital, skills training, and job opportunities for those eligible.
“The Governor has promised to assist some of them with capital to start businesses, others will be offered vocational training, and some will receive job placements,” Meyere added.
