Rev. Fr. Boniface Opaluwa, also known as Fada DonBon, a Nigerian Catholic priest, announced that he would refuse to proceed with any wedding ceremony where the bride is dressed inappropriately in a church where he’s officiating.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, October 26, he shared an image of a bride in a revealing gown, stating,
“If you show up like this on your wedding day at any church where I’m ministering, walahi, I won’t allow the ceremony to take place until you’re properly dressed. This isn’t just a personal stance—it’s about upholding the Church’s principles. The Church shouldn’t conform to worldly standards in these matters.”
