The Lagos State Wastewater Management Office (LSWMO) has sealed a residential building on Adedosu Street, Otubu, Agege, in a move to promote environmental sustainability, sanitation, and public health safety. This action follows complaints from concerned residents.
The bungalow, which contains over 10 rooms, lacks proper toilet facilities and instead has deteriorating pit latrines filled with exposed waste.
Engr. Adefemi Afolabi, General Manager of LSWMO, emphasized the government’s commitment to preventing another cholera outbreak in the state. He urged residents to adopt better sanitation and hygiene practices to improve public health and ensure environmental sustainability.
